This is one of my tries to introduce children to poetry.
The Frog at the Pond
Yesterday:
An old pond.
A frog jumps in.
The sound of water.
Last Night:
The frog sleeps.
Rain falls.
The sound of rain drops.
Today:
A beam of sunlight
Hit the pond.
The frog happy.
The frog jumps.
There is
The sound of frog song
And the sound of water.
My poem was inspired by the Japanese poet Matsuo Basho [1644 - 1694]
