50's Pop Idol Collage
Connie and Fabian
Back to the 50's Contest Entry
I have a vast collection of 45rpm records starting from 1956 all the way up to the early 90's when production waned. Rock and Roll was a huge outlet for me in the 50's and 60's and still is to this day. So, when I saw this contest I had to create something using my 50's collection. All the records used here are original shots from my collection (these particular ones given to me by my cousin) with no adjustment; showing all the wear of many plays on the old stackable 45rpm record player. Connie's "Who's Sorry Now" reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top 100 in March of 1958 and Fabian's "Turn Me Loose" reached No. 9 in April of 1959. The two little records within the Jukebox panel are of David Seville's "The Witch Doctor" which reached No. 1 in April of 1958. Hope you enjoy my little nostalgia trip.
