Thanks go to SilverWolfCreations who identified the ballerina of my painting as the famous Russian dancer and choreograph Anna Pavlova [1881-1931].
The painting was originally titled Unknown Ballerina. I had to change my comments and the title of my painting, but I left the original comments below because of all the reviews given already.

Original comment:
Painted after a vintage photo of an unknown ballerina by an unknown photographer which was part of a traveling exhibition about the history of dance and ballet. I did an online search but did not find out anything about this vintage photo. The text on the label said: Early 1900's, in public property.
