Coyotes posturing

Harsh Reality of Nature

It was about -15 degrees F. A small group of coyotes (about 4 or 5) had found an elk kill on the rocks above the side of the road (I and other photographers were on the other side of the road). The two you see here were taking their turn at the elk hide. The posturing between the two to show dominance and submission was interesting to see. I did clone out a bright orange circular ear tag and the slight showing of a tracking collar on the coyote standing on the left. I thought about giving a "violence" warning....should I have?
