This metal filing came from a threading machine used to cut threads in the end of a metal pipe. I then used a small penlight to light paint the subject in an otherwise dark room. It was a fun project.

Mixed Media: Some | This small metal piece came from a machine that creates a thread on the end of a iron pipel It is much smaller than a pencil in size.

I used a technique called light painting to illuminate the subject and create deep shadows.
This was a fun exercise, getting me out of a photographic funk.
