6×6 acrylics on canvas; A crane on the pond.
This piece was a challenge for me. It was my first time attempting to draw or paint a bird of any kind. I was also painting this at a time when I was new to painting reflections on water. In all honesty, I do feel that I could have made my crane buddy's neck a tad bit longer, and I could have given him more head room. But considering that I painting this purposely to challenge myself, I feel I did a decent job overall. The model that I used for this crane was a tiny crane statue, which originally belonged to my grandmother. So it has sentimental value to me. I hope you like it.

|This is acrylic paint on a small, 6×6 canvas. I used mostly mostly browns, yellows, dark greens and a touch of a purple hue for this piece. I also used several different brushes to complete this painting.|
