Grey Lodge Wildlife Refuge
by Donna Ruiz
Outdoor Photography Contest Entry
I went to check out Grey Lodge Wildlife Refuge, a bird wildlife area about an hour and a half from my house. I went in hopes of finding birds I have seen before but, especially to see the Sandhill Cranes. Sadly, there were no crane sightings. There were thousands of ducks and geese. A few herons and raptors but, no cranes. I captured this shot late in the afternoon as the sun was getting low in the sky. All in all, avlovely trip to a really beautiful area.
