This is the wild west coast of one of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura. Here my other half is calling to our dog Jolly who had taken off down the steep hill and rocks to the beach below. The photograph does not show how big the waves are but they are huge. Not an area for swimming or surfing but certainly of great natural beauty.
A sleeping whale surfaced and holed the starboard hull on our trimaran, We were taken to Fuerteventura for repairs and were there for 7 months. It was a fantastic island that we regularly explored.
