Today's temperature was 11 below zero. There is a duck pond next to a city water pumping station a few miles from my home. The water doesn't freeze there so there are usually quite a few ducks gathered there.


When I arrived at the pond there were hundreds of ducks huddled together on the bank of the pond. I was getting ready to take some pictures of them when they suddenly became excited and panicky. That's when I noticed the coyote. He is in the left corner of this image.
