The author has placed a warning on this post for violence.
The original photographs for this pencil drawing were taken while on safari in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania Africa. They are my own photographs and capture one of the most spectacular events any one can experience when there. Lionesses usually travel with a pride but in this case harvested their own meal without assistance from other members and nor did they share it. The photographs were edited to provided the least graphic and violent views but non the less it is meant to capture the harsh realities of life on the savannah and hopefully produce some sort of visceral response. That was might thought in choosing it. This is a pencil drawing on hot press paper measuring approximately 19 x 28 inches and is one of my first.
