We have at least 16 cardinals,males and females,coming to our feeder out back during the winter months. The majority of the females look alike,but I noticed there was one female looking bird that actually had a lot of red coloration in comparison to the others ..So I cheated,and put some seeds on the deck railing nearest the kitchen window in hopes she might check it out. I got lucky,she showed up shortly after I put the seed out. Had to brighten the snow a bit,edit out part of a sparrow,adjust the brightness,and crop.
