This is a single exposure taken in camera. It was accomplished using the zoom effect which means you put the camera on a sturdy tripod and set it to take a long exposure (10+ seconds). As it is taking the exposure you zoom in giving it the double exposure appearance with the light trails. It can be challenging to get a good shot and sometimes lots of trial and error is involved. I took this shot with my Pentax K3 with an 18-270 mm lens.
