Really would like to tell you that I found this little chambered nautilus shell on some far away, tropical beach, all nice and snug inside a piece of wave tossed driftwood-I didn?t. This is a not quite 3 inch nautilus shell that I placed inside what is probably an ancient woodpecker hole in a fallen tree I found in the woods.I really liked the grain in the exposed wood, and the hole was just the right size for this shell.Image was cropped, sharpness and color slightly adjusted.
