Everything Abstract Contest Entry
Last month provided several great nights for photos. Several full moon shots, light clouds, and tree top silhouettes from the brightness of the moon. This month has brought clouds and rain, so I looked for colorful and interesting objects around the house that may make a good abstract mixed media creation. One such picture (s) was a mosaic glass tile ball that has a solar light that glows at night and slowly changes color. I took several shots as it radiated a variety of different colors. I took a night shot with a bright moon & clouds and blended one of the colorful shots of the mosaic ball, then found an outline of a hot air balloon and applied it. I thought it looked magical.

Post Type Mixed Media Sculpture Mixed Media Major
I took a picture of a colorful mosaic bowl that lights up and goes through a slow graduation of color changes, and I layered it with a night sky photo I had taken one beautiful night. I applied a hot air balloon frame on top of the layered blending and situated the balloon in a position that seemed believable. I thought the colors were in the right places. I did another version with added cover overlay, but I think it began to complicate the whole thing. So in all, this took a minimal number of steps. Taking 2 photos, blending them and applying the outline of the balloon. And sizing for FAR
