This idea was inspired by David Ruhl. He had an idea of creating butterflies from elephant ears and gave me the go ahead to try it myself. Dave this is for you! The background for this was a landscape shot I took of a meadow. I found a stock elephant for one of my characters. Dave mentioned a plant called Elephant ears which has big leaves. I did not find the elephant ear plant but I knew leaves Caladium and Begonias have leaves similar to them. Great Leaves to create butterflies with. The leaves were cut out and placed at the bottom of the image.

I thought it would be fun to dress the elepahnat up so placed a transparent leaf over him and cut out differant sections for his body and limbs. The elephant is a stock image I found and thought would be great for a playful elephant who loved playing with butterflies. The leaves were a great shape for the bitterflies too. I trimmed them to get just the right shape. Butterflies have to have flowers to draw them in so I found some pretty Gerbera for the flowers of the plant. Finding just the right flower was harder than I thought.

I hope you find the image entertaining and felt I did a good job creating the scene. Thanks for stopping by! :o) Helvi
