I saw this huge ant in Maine at my brother's cabin. They seemed to be everywhere outside. I'm not sure but I think it's a Carpenter Ant. It was about 1/2" long ,was very black and shiny. You can actually see a reflection in it's hind quarters. It also had some red in it. If you can ID it I'd love to know what type of ant it was. Thanks for stopping by.
