New Beginning for Mannie & me
New Home

The story of Mannie's Rescue
Obviously, I did not take this photo (self timer). I did crop it.
This is where the bonding between Mannie and me really got its start. It was 3/26/17 and Mannie, my wife and I had just gotten home from the Great Lakes Westie Rescue in Indiana. We had arrived there from Michigan the day before where we first met Mannie. After the initial meet and greet, we returned the next day to see if he wanted to rescue us. Fortunately, he came right to us and after all the formalities were finished, we got in the car for the 3 1/2 hour ride home.
Mannie curled up in my wife's lap and bonded with her the entire trip home. After inspecting our home, he agreed it met his needs. We decided to rest up before our exploratory walk in the neighborhood. For me, it was the beginning of my connection with Mannie which grew stronger every day we were together.
We don't know what his life was like before we rescued one another, but we tried to make each day better for him than all of his previous days. Unfortunately, his time with us here on earth was far too short, but we have a lot of great memories from our time together and he always will be in our hearts. Sadly, Mannie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 13th.
