I totally freaked out seeing these on my new fuschia. My beautiful new fuschia was infested with these. This is a citrus mealy bug. It likes stems, vines and roots of plants. This was my first encounter with these. These little creatures inject a toxin while feeding and sucking life out of the plant. Mealy bugs are very difficult to get rid of. They like to hide in folds of leaves and layered areas of the stem. I had to separate my fuchsia from my plants on the porch. I did not want contamination of my other plants. Sadly my fuchsia died.
