An interesting tourist attraction is Hearst Castle in California, San Simeon to be more precise. William Randolph Hearst was a journalist in his day. He made a fortune as he controlled much of the print media in his time. There is a long and sordid history following his career but that is just an aside to this photo. The castle is built on a high hill with an magnificent overlook of the surrounding landscape. I love the vertical Cypress trees that accent the pool and distant hills. Well worth a stop if in the area.
