Primary Colors Traditional Art Contest Entry
It will soon be Bonfire Night - 5th November in the UK - so I wanted to create my impression of a sky lit up by fireworks.
I mixed the primary colours red, yellow and blue acrylic paints with PVA glue and water, making some other colours from these primary colours - green, purple, orange and pale blue adding a touch of white. I poured layers of paint into two small pots and flipped these on to a small canvas board. I moved the board around, blowing through a straw and using the balloon dip technique with a blown up rubber glove to create my impression of fireworks lighting up the sky.
