When our mother died, my brother and father planted this Japanese Maple tree as a memorial to this very special lady that everyone who met her remembers to this day. He has a beautiful park-like back yard with trees and flowers, chickens and ducks, dog and cats and my sister-in-law helps him take care of it all. We visit Idaho every year to see my brothers and father and to visit the tree. They planted it near their koi pond and the sound of the water falling into the pond behind the tree is something our mother would love. She loved all things in nature and being out of doors, traveling the back roads and seeing new things. Her favorite color is red and my father hung a red crystal key charm they bought on a long ago trip to Osaka and it shines in the morning sun.
Post Type: Photography
Mixed Media: None On a beautiful summer day in Idaho, I laid on the grass under this tree to get just the right angle of sun coming through the leaves. Taken with my Fuji FinePixS2550HD, 1/320 sec. f/6.4 5.5mm
