Geoff is my friend of 84 and he asked me to paint a picture of his log cabin from a very old photograph that was tattered and torn and was winter with snow. I did the Winter one last month its in my portfolio and this is his final one to make a pair. Apart from the log cabin and backdrop the rest is guesswork based on that winter scene. I made it abandoned at first as it was once, the silvermine closed and it was left. It is in a very remote area of Canada, but he asked me to add some life so hence the table, the bench and some tools and logs. I tried out Gouache paint which takes longer to dry than acrylic but you can make it look like oils.
Post Type: Traditional Art
Mixed Media: None | Gouache on canvas. Varnished.
