One Bird Wing Contest Entry
I arrived at the very active rookery near my house in SW Florida, hoping to catch the most interesting or beautiful wildlife image that I could. I adjusted my exposure compensation, knowing that the bright white feathers of this egret in the bright sunlight tends to get washed out. The background was a shady region under some trees. That resulted in the shadowy area behind the bird to be darkened, creating a nice contrast.
Post Type: Photography
Mixed Media: Minor | This was photographed raw, so I had to make minor adjustments to accurately reveal its natural contrast, highlights, and shadows while modestly enhancing texture, clarity, vibrancy, and saturation. Some cropping , but no image alteration or background manipulation.
