My graphite pencil portrait of an Ankylosaurus magnaventris. ( whose Latin name translates into English as 'The Fused Lizard with the Great Belly' ) This large ( 10 meter long ) quadrapedel Archosaur was a heavily armored herbivorous type whose remains ( while not especially common ) have been found all over the northern hemisphere in rock formations that date from the late Cretaceous geological time period making it one of the very last of the giant ground dwelling Dinosaurs!
