Digital Artwork of the Month Contest Entry 
An artist who I think is talented at drawing lifelike cactus was kind enough to let me experiment with inserting some into my digital artwork in various ways. Cactus are seldom well drawn due to the spines, but he cleverly skips the spines and adds texture and color in a way I had not seen done before. The horse standing in the bush is realistic to the way a loose horse might do in this type of terrain; my purple flowers are based on the gnarly Una de Gato of Baja Sur, Mexico, when in flower. The hand drawn cacti would be cardon...
