Near my home is one of Michigan's most famous lighthouses. Little Point Sable Lighthouse is one of most photographed Michigan landmarks. Once the early winds of late fall arrive, the blowing sand fills in the paved walkway to the lighthouse. The day i stopped out to check on the lake and our vanishing shoreline, there was just one car in the lot. As I got my camera ready, I notices the windblown tracks made by earlier visitors and one set of fresh tracks being made by a lone figure cresting the dune leading to the lighthouse. I had an idea of what I was going to do with this opportunity and shot the scene. as he was about to disappear over the dune. Here is the results of that idea. I hope you feel the nostalgia I attempted to create with is photo that represents the many tens of thousands of people that have walked this path to the lighthouse.
