Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge

Looking through some old photos and this was a memory from our first overseas trip in 2006. We were away for 3 months and as part of our travels went to Northern Ireland visiting Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. The Bridge was first erected by salmon fishermen in 1755 and was replaced in 2017 as part of conservation works. It is almost 100ft (30m) above sea level. It was closed in January 2020 due to a Landslide and remains closed due to safety issues. I took up the challenge to cross the bridge as the winds were getting stronger and it was closed shortly after our return because it was getting too dangerous.
