Mixed Media: None It has been a while since I started this multi-layer oil painting. I spent a lot of time working on it but wasn't happy with the results. Repainted over and over several times. I thought I failed this one! Thanks to my dad, he inspired me to finish it.

A little Robin Redbreast rests upon a perch,
A safe place for a moment after a careful search,
And if you are quite and as still as you can be
You can watch and examine this tiny bird's beauty.
She will sit with elegance like a crowned queen in her prime.
Then her eyes they flit from air to ground
And I notice nature's rhyme.
Just for the moment you will see her heart aglow
As she sits on her perch surrounded by the snow,
But then the moments over as fast as is it did come
She hears a noise she looks my way, Prepares to flee and run,
Within a blink of an eye and a turn of your head
Her wings are spread
And she quickly fly's away.
Farewell dear Robin Redbreast,
A glow of warmth on a winter's day!
