Winter Scene Contest Entry
We have had snow here the last week and went out for a walk in it and one of the places i went was our local church, here in suffolk there are churches in every village and of course graveyards, have been here before and walked past these fallen gravestones don,t know how long they have been like this and they are probarly quite old, thought the snow added a bit of difference to them and had a sort of beauty to the gravestones.
Having been to several churches/graveyards it always strikes me how neglected a lot are and where as years ago people layed flowers it seems to be less and less so,almost as if the people who are buried there have been forgotten, and s the older generation dwindle can only see that getting worst, its one thing that going abroad i have noticed how people respect there relatives who have passed away, indeed in some countries they go as a family and take picnics on november the 1st to remember them,in fact went to one graveyard in crete and there were so many flowers on a lot of graves, where as in the uk you would be lucky to see more than one lot of flowers, quite sad really.
