Digital Painting of the Month Contest Winner

This portrait shows a modern Maya Girl at a local celebration. I used some of my own photos which were taken in a Mayan village in the Peten Valley when I assisted a group of Doctors without borders as translator in 2011. This girl was acting in a play earlier and still had some paint on her skin. I made another version without the skin paint but think that this version is more interesting.
