Bombus Terrestris & Practorum in flight + an Ant

Bumblebees in flight + an Ant

by Susan F. M. T. Interested in this? Contact The Artist

Taken yesterday afternoon along the bank of the river Dodder in a Patch of Common Vetch ~ Vicia sativa that was alive with Bumblebees, I caught these two bees in flight between blossoms on the left is a Buff tail Bumblebee ~ Bombus Terrestris on the right a Early Nesting Bumblebee ~ Bombus Practorum, low down on the stem is a large Black Ant ~ Lasius niger. I KNOW the focus on the bees is soft but I still feel it worthy of being posted. I hope you like the picture despite it's faults. Susan
