I did this about 5 years ago, it is St Mary's lighthouse on a very small island with a causeway to the mainland. This is a rocky part of the coastline by Whitley Bay, near Newcastle on Tyne. The causeway gets covered twice daily when the tide comes in. The time is summer time just before sunrise. Done plein air and finished at home. I used to have a caravan nearby so was able to be there very early to catch this special light.
