This is my friends garden which I helped him with one weekend in the early landscaping stage. Its on a barren hillside in the Algarve hills. In winter and Spring is is lush with much greenery as are the distant hills but by May / June the green goes dull then bt summer it is all brown and dried. To keep it green it has to be watered. Ingenious ways are used to capture used water from showers and laundry and other domestic uses thays concentrated on the lawn. but the lawn will suffer and get patchy then come the late year rains and it becomes lush again.
