We have several species of tropical Bromeliads on our property, including Bromeliad Portea, which can grow to about 7 feet tall. It has very large "flowers" that consist of pink spines with blue and purple beads. It attracts the ants and the bees. I spent one afternoon following around this Honey Bee as he went from plant to plant in our garden. Shot with my Canon EOS 90D and Canon 18-135mm macro lens. ISO 100, Focal length 135mm, F Stop f/7.1, Max Aperture - 5, no flash, no tripod.
