Lűbeck centre is almost like an island surrounded with a river (trave) a bit like a moat. This is only one small part and shows the tradition architecture of the city. It is a popular walkng and leisure area with parks, boats, restaurants and museums.

Lübeck is a northern German city distinguished by Brick Gothic architecture, which dates to its time as the medieval capital of the Hanseatic League, a powerful trading confederation The large church spire of Marienkurche, rebuilt following WW II, is a 13th?14th-century landmark that widely influenced Northern European church design ... there are I believe 3 city centre churches of similar design with the remarkable spires you see here. ― info part Google?and part me.
