Painted Pink Art Contest Contest Entry
I painted in acrylic most of this portrait of eleven-year-old granddaughter on a 11 by 14 (think this is the size) Ampersand panel, from a snapshot when she and family were at a Celebration Anniversary of my husband and self. At first I couldn't get the mouth to suit me so I pulled into Photoshop, got it correctly, then finished the painting of the lower part of the dress and arm. In Photoshop, I also added bars with two colors into the painting to add a different style. Hope you enjoy. It was my first portrait painting in acrylic. I purposely chose not to apply shadow and made it somewhat more like a photograph with a different background, as I do sometimes.
