Created from Textiles - Photo Contest Entry
This was made about 25 years ago. Sewn by members of the congregation. Organised by the vicar's wife Barbara Goundry, the vicar was Walter Goundry both avtive and very popular people now no longer with us.
The tapestry had a wooden frame made: then a large canvas had the picture of Jesus walking on water drawn on it. It was was cut into equal squares and handed out for embroidering with cross stitch. When completed a team headed by Barbara put it all together by stitching: it was then stretched and mounted.

I am proud to say I did a square.. its the bottom of the sash, a bit of gown and a bit of water.
