I painted this ship in oil on canvas, 30" by 36", originally for our younger son when he was in college. I also sold a print, even larger, to a woman for her beach house. I looked at and went some by Ralph Coventry's painting of a ship on the high seas, perhaps a few smaller ones in the distance, in painting mine, cropped and resized for FAR. I really like those antique works. Hope you enjoy. In the original I had a small ship in the distance on the right. I had cropped it out. To be more appropriate for the contest, I decided to reload, showing more of the water.
