Photograph of the Month Contest Winner

This elegant bird landed so close to me that I could not even get his entire body in the frame without zooming out first. Translation? -A perfect opportunity for a head shot! Still cannot believe how he just flew down through the trees and perched within twenty feet of where I was seated. It was an indescribable experience, albeit one that was very brief. Within less than a minute he relocated to the far side of the pond where I was able to capture over 40 images of him.
