I was dog walking along an industrial part of the commercial area dock in Schleswig Holsteins small village Schlutup when I came across these congrete structures. I knew them immediately from a visit to the local museum in Schlutup last November with my grandson. Many died attempting to escape East to West over these structures... thank God they are there no more. They are now in a desolate rubbish area but no notice, however I am sure thats what they are. Today, an extensive collection of uniforms, reports, photo documentations and much more besides, housed in a former customs post, reminds visitors of the history of the border between East and West.
