Haven't been out much as my back issues have flared up so posting one from March visit to our Zoo. The species is classified as critically endangered due to a declining trend in the population by at least 80% over the past 45 years. This is due primarily to deforestation for human settlement, agriculture and the commercial timber trade, and poaching for the wildlife trade. Adelaide Zoo plays a crucial role in the long-term survival of this species as a fellow partner of the international breeding program working to safeguard this species and many more from extinction.
