The Co-Operative chose Mencap and Enable Scotland to be their charities of the year and my son Ben was chosen to be their poster boy. For a whole year every Co-Op store you went in to had a huge poster of him by the entrance (guess where we had to shop that year! Lol). They also did a TV advert with him and other learning disabled youngsters to promote the liaison. At the end of the year there was a huge presentation for the handing over of the £7,000,000 raised, and Ben was asked to be their representative and to accept the cheque on the charities' behalf! I have never seen him looking so proud - and I have never been so proud! I know the photo should tell the story itself, and I believe it does, but (being a very proud mum) I wanted to fill in the gaps. I took this a few years ago, but it seemed appropriate for this contest!
