May 3, 1999, was a very important day in regards of weather history as an F5 tornado tore through Moore, OK. But on May 20, 2013, a powerful tornado swept through the city of Moore (again). This tornado cross path with the 99' tornado. This would be the second tornado to go through the city since the May 3, 1999, tornado (one of the strongest tornadoes ever recorded). Also, this would be the second F/EF5 to go through the city as well. This tornado was rated an EF5 as it was sweeping WELL-BUILT homes off its foundation. Debark trees, scour the ground, and unfortunately killed under 20 people, 7 of those were children as this tornado tore through 2 elementary schools. To date this is the last EF5 tornado we had in over 10 years.
