Spent most of a day in the far southeast corner of Oklahoma attempting to photograph some of the few and very elusive alligators in the Red Slough Wildlife Management Area. Spotted one, photographed none. As a consolation, this little guy rambled out in front of me as I was heading back to my vehicle. He climbed a small tree then seemed to just sit and wait for me right at eye level. Of course, I was not about to pass up on the shot. Sometimes, it pays to be lucky rather than good.
