I wrote a fictional story about a young teen boy who was gay. I wrote the story because when I taught in a middle school, years ago, two gay teens in the high school hanged themselves within two weeks. It's stayed with me and I had to reach through my story and art, to the LGBTQ+ teens that are still attempting suicide and killing themselves today, even as Laws and society have grown understanding. I used mixed paints and markers. I posted the story on FanStory. The fictional characters appear to the boy as he is on his daily walk and they give him courage and hope.
