This was a large piece to do, 18x24. I initially sketched the basic outline of the lion, to make sure everything was drawn in proportion before I began color. I then started with the face, always doing the eyes first. I went on to finish the face and ear, then finished up with the mane. I used Prismacolors for the lion. For the whiskers, I used a Tombow mono eraser to erase colored pencil in fine lines (to create a clean surface) then used a very sharp white prismacolor to fill in the whiskers.
