Late in the afternoon caught this female Northern Cardinal just as she was diving from a branch with her wings still folded. It almost seems as if she just fell over on purpose with no intention of flying. A split second later, she flapped down to a pile of seeds on the ground just a few feet below her perch. I still do not know if this is technically a bird in flight shot. It kind of reminds me of a line from the movie, "Toy Story"- "That's not flying, it's falling with style."
