~ I love the earths transformation from Winter to Spring. Living my whole life 63 years in Southern California seasons were not defined or even noticed. Seasons were just page turning on a calendar. Now it is going on 2 1/2 years here in Alabama. Oh how I wish we could have moved sooner. Starlings and cardinals already a couple arrive mid January. You know it is Feb~March when pesty crane flies show up. They are everywhere. April the carpenter bees emerge from their burrows of wood. They are so adorable. They are curious little ones. They are not aggressive but extremely curious and hover around you like mini drones. April brings fire ants everywhere. We only had red ants that bit in California. Fire ants if disturbed are super aggressive and even 1 bit you will have lots of pain and might blister. They really hurt. Each ant has a job… protect the ant mound, please the queen, watch over the developing cases of babies. If danger appears move the little critters to safety, bite the human, protect and grow the colony. I could go on but I bet you all have seasons staring nature too.
