Mixed Media: None | As with the Violinist painting, I used the same technique, almost. In the violinist painting I was not satisfied with the rough edges of the figure to the background. One this painting I burnished the canvas a little more. It improved the figure to background a bit better. I also improved the dress fabric folds and learned how to paint shiny brass. Still have to work on both techniques. But still, I rather like this one as much as I do the violinist painting. In regard to the burnishing, I really finely burnished each canvas of the two new paintings of ballerinas that I am now working on. It took about three hours for each painting. They are coming along nicely. I will post them when they are finished. I hope you enjoy the 'Flutist' as much as I enjoyed creating it.
