Nature Photo Contest Contest Entry

While vacationing and researching family ancestry in Sao Miguel, Azores, we rented a car and drove all over the island. We spent a fare amount of time in Ponta Delgada, stopping here and there, wherever looked interesting. We spotted these flowers growing wild on the side of a busy road and stopped so I could check them out closer. They were just lovely and would have made a nice cut flower for a vase, but we only took pictures and left the flowers for others to enjoy. Taken with my Canon EOS 90D and 70-130mm lens.
